A root canal in Mexico at SOTA Dental can usually be completed in a single day, as long as the tooth is free of active infection. Our doctors begin by evaluating the tooth with digital imaging to confirm whether the nerve can be treated immediately or whether you need antibiotics first. If an infection is still present, we typically prescribe medication for several days before performing the root canal. This step is important because treating an actively infected tooth decreases success rates and increases discomfort.
When the tooth is ready, the root canal itself is a fast and precise procedure. Our endodontists use advanced microscopy, allowing them to see and clean the canals with a higher level of accuracy than most clinics in North America. Because we work with microscopes and modern sterilization systems, the appointment usually lasts between one and two hours. After the procedure, the tooth is sealed and prepared for a future crown if needed.
Most patients can fly home the next day without any issues. Mild soreness is normal, but the treatment is predictable, safe, and quickly resolved at our clinics in Mexico.
