In Cancun, most sinus lifts at SOTA Dental are done during the same visit as your implant placement. This means your first trip usually lasts about three to five days. During this time, our surgeons gently lift the sinus membrane, place grafting material, and insert the implant when the bone allows. The graft and implant then heal together over the next several months while you return home.
If your bone is too thin, the sinus lift may need to be performed alone. This trip is short and simple, but healing takes three to six months. Once the graft has fully hardened, you return to Cancun for implant placement. Because Cancun offers many direct flights from major U.S. cities, the two trip process is very convenient.
